Optical windows are used to allow optical radiation to pass from one environment to another without allowing other elements of these environments to mix. And it does not change the wavelength distribution of the beam, the transmitted wave front, nor does it scatter any of the light out of the beam.
Sapphire Windows are manufactured from single crystal sapphire, making them ideal for demanding applications (such as laser systems) because of their extreme surface hardness, high thermal conductivity, high dielectric constant and resistance to common chemical acids and alkalis.
Sapphire is the second hardest crystal next to diamonds and, because of their structural strength, sapphire windows can be made much thinner than other common dielectric windows with improved transmittance. Chemically, sapphire is single crystal aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and is useful in a transmission range from 0.2 - 5.5µm
UV Fused Silica glass can be either through the far ultraviolet spectrum (UV-permeable material is superior to all others), and can transmit visible light and infrared spectrum.
UV Fused Silica has a high degree of transparency in the wavelength range of 0.2-4.7μm.
Acid resistant, but not suitable for use in strong alkalis.
UV Fused Silica glass is resistant to high temperatures, has a very small thermal expansion coefficient, good chemical stability, bubbles, streaks, uniformity, and birefringence are comparable to ordinary optical glass. It is indispensable for working in various harsh environments with high stable optical coefficients less optical materials.
Worldhawk offers standard and high precision optical glass windows in round ,rectangular, wedge windows and custom shape and size with different optical glasses,Fused Silica, Sapphire, ZnSe, Zns and IR crystal. The high precision parallelism of 10 arc seconds, surface quality of 10/5 and flatness of λ/20. Single layer or multi-layer anti-reflection coatings are available.
